The Balochistan government has cancelled the allotment of nearly 400 acres of land in the Berot area of Hub after reports of corruption surfaced. The government has declared the land as state property and has immediately withdrawn the previous notification issued by the Revenue Board.

According to officials, all allotments granted to private individuals between 2023 and 2025 have now been declared void. Settlement officers have been instructed to submit the complete record related to the cancelled land to the Deputy Commissioner of Hub.

Documents revealed that the land in Berot had been allotted to individuals who were not residents of the area. After the construction of the new bypass, the value of the land increased, and certain individuals—allegedly with the help of settlement staff—attempted to acquire the land to make a profit.
